Use to order from here every week nearly , until valentines night we got a take away , I am 6 months pregnant and got my usual spag and meatballs
My partner got chicken wings as we got home and ate my partner expressed his concerns that his wings were pink ( I did not have any luckily) fast forward to 2/3 hours later my partner was projectile
Vomiting in the toilet and had diahorrea until Sunday evening we emailed the restaurant asap on the Sunday or Monday and got a response back regarding a phone call and a manager called him the Wednesday or Thursday evening to which took absolutely no blame and said the suppliers cooks all the wings and they deep fry them, there was no apology or nothing and manager kept telling my partner food poisoning does not kick in so soon which is false information. The managers manner was absolutely appalling and we did not even want to leave a review at all up until we received that phone call we’re no accountability was taken, and my partner was gaslighted and told good position doesn’t happen so soon. The phone call was ended and he was told “you’ll be called back tomorrow” that did not happen and an email came after with a 20 euro refund offered. As stated above the last thing we wanted to do was to leave a review for a small business especially because the restaurant accommodated us more than once for a last minute booking etc but the managers attitude on the phone was beyond unprofessional.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback.
We take any comments regarding food safety seriously; however, we do need to clarify a few important points. All of our food is prepared in accordance with strict hygiene and safety standards, and our suppliers operate under the same regulated requirements. The items you referenced are fully cooked at high temperatures, making the risk described highly unlikely, particularly based on the timeline provided.

We would also note that although you mentioned noticing an issue with the wings on the day, this was not raised with us at the time and was only brought to our attention two days later. We always encourage customers to raise any concerns with us immediately, as this allows us to investigate and resolve matters there and then. Unfortunately, as this was not brought to our attention at the time, that opportunity was not available.

In terms of communication, you emailed us on Monday and we responded promptly. We then followed up with a phone call on Tuesday, which was not answered, and a voicemail was left. A further call was made on Thursday in an effort to discuss the matter directly.
During our communication, our manager aimed to explain this based on standard food safety guidance. At no point was there any intention to dismiss or “gaslight” your partner, but rather to provide factual information as we understand it. We appreciate that this may not have aligned with your expectations, but we stand by the professionalism of our team in handling

The food was incredible. We had two pizzas, the dough was made to perfection. The coffee was very smooth and the wines tasted amazing. Additionally, the service was great. Overall, there was a lovely atmosphere! We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Terrible service and overpriced. We were seated in a cramped corner right beside the door. To make matters worse, the staff brought the wrong order and charged us for it. When I challenged the mistake, the staff became extremely rude instead of fixing it. The prices are far too high for the quality and experience—€14 for a basic kids' meal is ridiculous. Avoid this place.

Response to owners review
I am disappointed to hear response and just want to be clear on the facts

When you say you were fully booked there were a number of tables free and when we left they were still free. So not sure why they were not available for us

When your waitress came out with food she came out with a child’s portion on bolognese and and a pizza. The bolognese was put right in front of my son who became extremely upset when it was taken away. That’s why we kept the order and asked for an adults portion of Tagliatelle which we originally requested.

I need to be clear here. Our original order was taken incorrectly which is simply not acceptable. It also meant we could not eat together as a family and the dining experience was not enjoyable considering the price we are paying.

I also still stand by my comments about price.

We would have appreciated some sort of goodwill gesture here and did’nt appreciate the tone from your staff.

This was my experience and thank you for your response

Response from the owner

Hi Gary,
Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your visit, but we’d just like to clear up a couple of points.

When you arrived, with no reservation as we were fully booked you were offered a choice of two tables, so there was an option available rather than being simply placed at the table beside the door.

In relation to the order, we did accidentally bring a child’s portion to the table — we hold our hands up to that mistake. However, when we realised what had happened, we offered to take it back and bring out the correct portion. You chose to keep the child’s portion instead and order an adults one also, and the issue was only raised again when the bill was presented.

We’re always more than happy to correct mistakes when they happen, and we did offer to put this right at the time. We’re therefore disappointed to read that the situation has been described as we simply charged you for the wrong order without offering a solution. When the server cleared the table all plates were empty.

We’re sorry you left unhappy, as that’s never what we want for anyone dining with us. We appreciate the feedback and wish you all the best.
